Job Description

Responsible for ensuring the overall success of a multiple program/ platforms including interfacing with internal/external customers including Engineering, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, and Purchasing. Drives the planning and implementation of multiple programs across the organization. Responsible for business requirements, allocation and coordination of resources, budget planning, and reporting/tracking of program results to senior management. Individual interacts with cross functional teams and senior management on programs that have significant impact enterprise-wide. Incumbent must possess project management skills in addition to knowledge of automotive industry specifically in the Interiors and Seating.



  • Minimum 8 to 15 years experience in Automotive industry with 5 years in Program Management
  • Ability to work in a highly productive, constantly changing environment
  • Requires minimal supervision. Manages a multi-functional area
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree and MBA required
  • Previous experience in Program Management in Automotive Interiors or Seating  is required
  • Product engineering experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated track record in leading global programs with Budget, Program Timing and Cross Functional team responsibility
  • Solid knowledge of project management concepts & discipline. PMP Certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage diverse internal and external customers
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to lead and negotiate solutions that balance technical capability, cost, and time, against business need
  • Highly Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
  • Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Project management software
  • Up to approximately 25% travel may be required, depending on project assignments
  • Experience in Product Life Cycle (PLM), Project Management tools (LPMP) and AS400 is preferred
  • Experience in setting Greenfield / Brown Field facilities and bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Position based out of Southfield, MI
