    The following position is available for the 2018-2019 school year.

    REPORTS TO: Building Principal & Special Education Director
    # Hours Building Programming
    1 7.0 MPHS~ MiCi/MoCi/BehaviorRR/RR Paraprofessional
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    1. High School diploma or equivalent.
    2. Professional tact, diplomacy and presentation with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents and community. Understands and maintains confidentiality
    3. Physical ability to lift a minimum of forty (40) pounds.
    4. Successful experience working with special needs students or the equivalent.
    5. As partners in the instructional process, paraprofessionals who work in programs supported with Title I funds must meet one of the following requirements:
      1. Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (equal to 60 semester hours); or
      2. Obtain an associate's degree (or higher); or
      3. Meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate, through a formal state or local academic assessment. (Example: Work Keys Test, MTTC, ETS Parapro Assessment, etc.)
      4. Has undergone a physical examination, by a licensed physician, that documents capability to perform required duties.
      5. Has an electronic fingerprint clearance from a criminal history record check.
      6. Preferred Qualifications
        1. Post secondary course work with concentration on special education areas.
        2. Completion of First Aid, CPR, Behavior Management and Physical Intervention Skills.
