The Manager - Business Analysis, leads business and functional projects to evaluate business drivers and complex technology requirements. Responsible for defining and implementing system strategies and specifications for business requirements. The Manager - Business Analysis will also be accountable for eliciting, analyzing, validating and managing the requirements gathered from Product Team and maintaining frequent communication with Product Management teams for which he/she is responsible. This position also acts as a communication conduit between Product and Engineering teams to ensure successful application delivery against business requirements

The Manager - Business Analysis will be responsible in hiring and recruiting the candidates for BA team will deal with staffing issues, including employee issues, counseling, performance appraisals, etc and will also provide recommendations on performance management and remunerations. He/she will also ensure goals are set for the Business Analysts and they are meeting the same.

Manager - Business Analysis should work closely with his/her global cross-functional counterparts and Head of Departments (HoDs) to ensure that overall Product Management & SL organizational goals are achieved.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Listed below are the typical duties and responsibilities expected of an individual for the job title described in this document.   • Work closely and interactively with Product managers as a primary point of contact and assist with identifying and solving business challenges

  • Facilitate analysis of functional requirements and design of technical specifications by capturing requirements through interactive sessions where necessary

  • Communicate with Product Managers to refine and resolve requirement conflicts

  • Participate and contribute to decision making in Roadmap planning and Release planning for multiple program teams

  • Collaborate with Product Management Team on identifying business context of requirements and liaise with Engineering team to ensure accurate alignment during implementation

  • Participate in Development meetings for planning and implementation

  • Driving business rigor and process improvement within the projects and organization

  • Provide overall BA support to multiple program teams across the organization.

  • Management of the Business Analysis division

  • Engage in strategic development of the division with Senior Management.

  • Set up and drive goals for SL BA team.

  • Promote innovation and drive key initiatives for the BA function in SL.

  • Perform and progressively refine stakeholder management to mitigate surprises.

  • Ensure production stability, scalability, performance and security requirements are met so that defined levels of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are delivered.

  • Conflict resolution and escalation management of programs/projects run in SL.

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with PMO, senior Dev management, senior QE management, Product Management & TechOps management to execute the different portfolios run within the SL office.

  • Work with SL Management and HR on the people management aspects for SL resources such as appraisals, interviews, identify and arrange trainings etc.

  • Build and retain productive teams through recruitment, coaching, mentoring, transition and career management.

  • Work with SL Management and participate actively on initiatives taken by them to make SL BA team successful.

  • Provide periodic reports to senior leadership team.

  • Other administrative tasks/activities.


Preferred Certifications

  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM)

  • Scrum Product Owner Certification (CSPO)

  • PMP - PBA Certification

  • CCBA/CBAP Certification

Education and Experience

  • Masters degree in Business Administration/Management or an equivalent qualification preferred.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree preferably in Computing, Information Technology or Business Management.

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in software program/project management including at least five (5) years of experience in a senior management role.
