    Eagle Tavern - Busser (part-time position: weekday/daytime availability required)

    *Must be available weekdays and weekends; daytime (~10:00am-4:30pm)

    SUMMARY OF PURPOSE
    Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the restaurant’s dining area to enhance the dining experience for our guests.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Clears dishes/trash from tables, chairs, and counters
    2. Empties trash regularly and removes from unit
    3. Performs opening and closing tasks, as assigned, including flipping chairs and sweeping
    4. Break down bussing trays of service items, sort into proper dish racks / glass racks
    5. Reset tables and dining room for service
    6. Maintains cleanliness of all restaurant areas, including taking out garbage, sweeping and mopping floors, and straightening storage areas
    7. Assumes responsibility for cleanliness of work station in keeping with the Dept. of Health & Sanitation guidelines
    8. Assists co-workers with restaurant service as needed
    9. Provides our guests with a historically accurate portrayal of a dining experience
    10. Interacts and communicates with guests and co-workers in a professional and friendly manner
    11. Responsible for the care and maintenance of historical clothing uniform
    12. Ensures an outstanding guest experience
    13. Handles and stores all equipment properly and with care
    14. Adheres to The Henry Ford and the Foodservice Department rules and policies at all times
    15. Performs other activities as necessary
    16. Acts as a team player, providing expertise within the team and with other team members, as appropriate
    17. Uses their best judgment when helping guests and notifies management of any issues immediately


    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    High School diploma preferred, but must be at least 16 years of age. Must be flexible in hours and scheduling. Available up to five days a week, daytime and evening, holidays, and weekends. Must be customer service oriented with a hospitable demeanor.

    Should be enthusiastic and possess good communication skills. Must be willing to work as part of a team. Must be hardworking, willing to take initiative to complete tasks in a timely manner, and able to multitask while working in a fast-paced environment.
